Overview

This release introduces the Connect Module (Meeting Scheduler) for VirtuApp, featuring robust host/guest role management, availability slot creation, and dynamic meeting request handling. It also includes critical UI enhancements like optimistic state updating, 12-hour time formatting, and stabilization fixes for API race conditions.

Feature Details & Fixes

1. Connect Module & Meeting Scheduler

Introduced a comprehensive scheduling interface tailored to user roles (Manager, Host, Guest).

  • Role-Based Workflows: Dynamic UI adjustments based on backend privilege detection (is_manager, hash_key matching).
  • Dual-Tab Navigation: Seamless switching between accepted/completed meetings and pending incoming requests.
  • Dynamic Date Filtering: Built a horizontal date scroller that dynamically renders dates based on available meeting data.
  • Time Formatting: Integrated an automated 12-hour (h:mm a) time formatter for all meeting ranges and slot creation views.

2. Slot Management System

Provided Hosts and Managers with a dedicated bottom sheet interface to control their availability.

  • Slot Creation & Editing: Support for defining slot titles, start/end dates, and time boundaries.
  • Publish Toggling: Accurate real-time syncing of a slot's "Published" vs "Hidden" status driven by the published_at timestamp.
  • Global Pause/Resume: Added the ability to temporarily halt all incoming meeting requests with a unified pause toggle.

3. UI Layout & Bug Fixes

  • Optimistic UI Updates: Meeting requests now instantly reflect their new status locally and automatically switch the user to the "My Meetings" tab upon acceptance, eliminating jarring full-screen loading spinners.
  • Race Condition Prevention: Added an isProcessing state to "Accept", "Decline", and "Cancel" buttons to disable interaction and show a localized loader while the API call is in flight.
  • Date Jump Fix: Restructured the parseApiData mapping logic to memorize and restore the active date index, preventing the UI from forcing users back to the first available date after every API refresh.

Backward Compatibility

Existing projects remain completely compatible with VirtuApp iOS Build 11.3.

The new Connect Module utilizes existing user authentication tokens and hash_key architectures. API endpoints dynamically route logic based on legacy and updated user privileges without breaking existing non-manager flows.
