Overview

This release introduces the FlipBook feature to VirtuApp, allowing PDF documents to be displayed in an interactive page-flipping experience. Users can now open supported PDF files directly within the application using a realistic book-style interface, providing a more engaging document viewing experience.

New Features

FlipBook Layout

A new FlipBook layout has been added to VirtuApp.

This layout allows PDF documents to be displayed using a realistic page-flipping interface instead of the standard PDF viewer.

How to Use (VirtuBox Console)

Follow these steps to configure a FlipBook:

  1. Open the VirtuBox Console.
  2. Create a new page or edit an existing page.
  3. Add a FlipBook layout.
  4. Upload or select a PDF document.
  5. Ensure the selected file is:
    • A valid PDF document.
    • Available for the VirtuApp platform.
  6. Save the page.
  7. Sync or publish the project.
  8. Open the page in VirtuApp.
  9. Tap the FlipBook section to open the document in FlipBook mode.

Note: Only PDF documents are supported for FlipBook.

Architecture

The FlipBook feature has been implemented using an OpenGL-based page rendering library, as Android does not provide a native page-flipping component.
